As far back as I can remember I've always been infatuated by a camera and a lens.  I remember my parent's old Kodak Brownie and how much trouble I would get into when I snuck it out of the house and began tinkering with it.

I've always said that "everybody has to have something" ..... and photography, along with a couple of other things, have wound up holding my interest all my life. As a kid I remember the first cameras I owned myself, in which I could shoot and experiment without getting in trouble. I still have a lot of the old photographs and albums that bring back a lot of memories. Looking back through them one day it
dawned on me "Some Things Just Happen Once". That's when I realized just how important a photograph is.

As my "addiction" to the camera progressed I found myself getting more serious about it and wanted to learn to take better photographs. After several years and more money spent on equipment than I care to mention, I somehow wound up being the official "Friend and Family" Photographer. Of course I realized that "Friends and Family" usually think you're the best in the world. Then one day it crossed over into the workplace. I have had a couple of past employers that made me their official "Product and Commercial" photographer. When you are doing photographs for a Billion Dollar Global company, that are going into brochures distributed all over the world    ..........
"You Better Get It Right". And this applies to every type of shoot I do. I strive "To Get It Right".

I am always working to improve my skills, either by training or just experimenting. I am my worst critic.

These days I am shooting with much better gear, lighting etc ........ but you still have to capture the right moment for a great photograph.

Weddings and Engagements are some of those things that "Just Happen Once". While we strive to capture quality photos, whether photojournalistic or traditional ....... we like to keep it fun. No pressure, no stress and no hurry makes a good session. I shoot weddings
per your and your ministers requirements and wishes. Studio Lighting can be provided if needed, for Indoor Formal Shots. We do our best to keep our Brides and Grooms happy.

Whether shooting in a studio setting or an outdoors session I watch for what I call a "Candid Pose". This is especially true when it comes to kids. Don't get me wrong, I shoot classic and creative poses with subjects of all ages, but a lot of times, especially with children, I may catch a shot that really has the "WOW" factor that truly shows the subject's personality. It's pretty cool when that happens!

When shooting most kids, infant, seniors and modeling sessions ........ we're going take a lot of photos. You never know, especially with kids, when you might nail that WOW photo!

I shoot photos in a variety of conditions and places. I've shot photos in Europe and China while there on business and shot concert photos of celebrity entertainers. I've crawled around in the floor with a camera and transmitter working with children, been waist deep in a cold mountain river trying to get just the right angle and frame on a shot of a family perched up on a big shady rock on the riverbank and been in factories, shops and stores shooting commercial, industrial and product shots. It's a lot of work and more work when it comes
time to process the photos, but I still enjoy it.

Regarding the cost of professional photography, please consider this. "A lady can buy a pair of scissors for a couple of dollars ......... but for a great haircut she will always go to a professional hairdresser!"   (Borrowed Quote)
